ALWAYS a pleasure my friends, to hear from Charly.

Neil Young on the moon. LOL!

Mike, my family was camping in Ocean City the summer of the moon landing. Like you, we watched the moon landing and moon walk on a 13″ portable B&W TV with big crumples of aluminum foil wrapped around the rabbit ears to boost the reception. I will NEVER forget that day and how campers of all ages were huddled around a small TV, under canvas a tarp, in the pouring rain, to watch history in the making.

Rent the movie “The Dish”. It is a very well done account of how the images of the first lunar landing were sent back to earth. Well worth the rental.

Jack Carlson wasn’t in Slapshot. His brothers Jeff and Steve were.
Jack Carlson was originally scripted to appear in the film as the third brother, Jack, with Dave Hanson playing his film counterpart, “Dave ‘Killer’ Carlson”.
However by the time filming began, Jack Carlson had been called up by the Edmonton Oilers, then of the WHA to play in the WHA playoffs, so Dave Hanson moved into the role of “Jack Hanson”, and actor Jerry Houser was hired for the role of “‘Killer’ Carlson”.

Robb: “Do you think it’s better to be able to know about hurricanes before they hit land?”
Good question Robb. Good question.
